Czechia, historically known as the industrial heartland of Central Europe, is undergoing a massive transformation. With a deep-rooted automotive heritage led by giants like the Volkswagen Group and local powerhouse Škoda Auto, the nation is rapidly pivoting from Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) manufacturing to cutting-edge Electric Vehicle (EV) production. At the core of this transition lies the critical need for robust, high-performance components, specifically EV battery connectors.
As gigafactories and battery assembly plants begin to dot the landscapes of Bohemia and Moravia, the demand for high-current, waterproof, and durable electrical connectors has skyrocketed. These connectors act as the nervous system of modern electric vehicles, ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of power between the battery pack, the inverter, and the electric motor. Manufacturers and factories supplying the Czech market are now held to the highest European standards, requiring strict adherence to CE, RoHS, and specialized automotive certifications.
The Czech automotive sector accounts for nearly a tenth of the country's GDP. The integration of advanced new energy electrical metal waterproof connectors is vital to sustaining this economic engine as it transitions to zero-emission technologies.
The unique geographical and infrastructural landscape of Czechia dictates specific requirements for EV battery connectors. From the bustling streets of Prague to the freezing winter temperatures of the Krkonoše mountains, connectors must perform flawlessly under diverse conditions.
Czech winters can be harsh, with heavy snow and road salt posing severe corrosion risks to vehicle undercarriages. EV connectors deployed here, such as the M23 and M28 series, feature stringent IP67 and IP68 waterproof ratings. This ensures that moisture, salt, and debris cannot penetrate the high-voltage systems, preventing short circuits and ensuring driver safety during the freezing months.
Along the vital D1 highway connecting Prague and Brno, the expansion of DC fast-charging infrastructure is accelerating. These stations utilize specialized quick-lock waterproof connectors capable of handling massive power loads (up to 800V architectures) without overheating. Advanced thermal management within the connector housing is crucial for these high-turnover charging hubs.
Czechia is seeing a surge in residential and commercial solar installations paired with Energy Storage Systems (ESS). Connectors like the Power Solar IP67 Metal Sockets are extensively used to bridge the gap between photovoltaic panels, stationary EV batteries, and home wallbox chargers, creating a seamless, localized green energy grid.
The manufacturing of EV battery connectors is experiencing a technological renaissance. As Czech factories gear up for the next generation of e-mobility, several key trends are emerging. First is the shift towards smart connectors embedded with IoT sensors capable of real-time temperature and voltage monitoring, providing predictive maintenance alerts before a failure occurs. Second is the demand for miniaturization combined with high current capacity. As automakers strive to reduce vehicle weight to increase range, connectors must become smaller and lighter while handling more power. Finally, the use of sustainable, recyclable materials in the manufacturing process is becoming a strict requirement to comply with the European Green Deal.
To meet these exacting standards, Czech automotive suppliers frequently partner with global high-tech enterprises that possess massive R&D capabilities and economies of scale. This is where global leaders step in to bridge the gap between innovative design and mass production.
While our production hubs are located in leading Asian tech zones, our strategic focus heavily supports the European and specifically the Czech EV market. Jnicon Group is a high-tech enterprise specializing in advanced connection solutions. Our core product lines include industrial connectors, high-current connectors, controllers, 5G base station connectors, LED connectors, marine and yacht connectors, glass sintered connector, and communication cables. These products are widely used in diverse industries such as new energy vehicles (NEVs), energy storage, electric vehicles, solar inverters, AI automation, 5G communication, aerospace, oil exploration/production, high-speed rail, metro systems, LED lighting, and shipbuilding.
The group covers over 20,000 sqm, with a total building area of more than 30,000 sqm. Providing the scale necessary to supply massive European automotive demands.
The Group operates five subsidiary companies:

Innovation and intellectual property are central to our development strategy, ensuring our connectors meet the strict regulatory frameworks of the Czech Republic and the broader EU. To date, we have filed nearly 300 patents, with an average of over 80 new patent applications annually since 2019. Our annual R&D investment reaches approximately RMB 10 million, underscoring our position as a key national technology enterprise ready to serve global markets.
With this sealed air insulated system, there is no risk of gas leakage as the pressure inside and outside the cabinet remains the same. Ideal for demanding European industrial environments.
Throughout its lifecycle, there’s no need for pressure monitoring or gas refilling, significantly reducing maintenance requirements for EV charging stations and grid storage.
Since the establishment of Shenzhen Jnicon Technology Co., Ltd. in late 2013, the Group has experienced rapid and consistent growth. Since 2018, annual revenue growth has exceeded 200%, making Jnicon one of the fastest-growing companies in the domestic connector industry. By 2023, the Group had nearly 500 employees, with annual revenue reaching approximately RMB 300 million and total output value exceeding RMB 400 million. This financial stability guarantees our long-term commitment to European partners.
In late 2021, the Group's board of directors approved a strategic investment of RMB 400-500 million in Shaoyang, Hunan Province, to expand the industrial chain and establish a new headquarters economy. The project covers a self-owned construction area of around 30,000 square meters and is expected to generate annual output exceeding RMB 1 billion. Upon full completion, it will become the largest high-current connector manufacturing base in China, supporting the Group's goal of listing on the ChiNext Board by 2029 and significantly boosting our export capacity to regions like Czechia.

Both Shenzhen and Hunan factories are recognized as National High-Tech Enterprises.
